Yeast free Wholemeal bread
This yeast free wholemeal bread is very easy to make for the bread making novice, it has no kneading and proving time and tastes great with butter and a soft boiled egg.
Yeast free Wholemeal bread
200g Plain flour
50g Wholemeal flour
25g Cracked wheat
Pinch Salt
25g Fat (Butter or Margarine depending on taste)
1 Whole Egg beaten
125 ml Butter milk
Method
1, Mix all the Dry ingredients except ½ of the cracked wheat
2, Rub in the fat
3, Using a knife mix in the beaten egg and the butter milk to form a dough
4, Knead lightly in the bowl until all the mix is gathered up and evenly distributed but do not over work the mix,
5, form the dough into a ball, brush with egg and sprinkle with the remaining wheat
6, Bake on a lightly greased tray at 420◦f for 20-25 mins
