Bran Fruit Loaf

If you dont like bran this is a great way to incorporate it in your diet, its a fantastic tea loaf served hot or cold with plenty of butter, honestly you would never know you was eating something that was good for you.


Bran Fruit Loaf
Ingredients

4oz AllBran (100% Bran Breakfast Cereal)
50z Castor Sugar
10oz Dried Fruit
½ Pint of Milk
4oz Self raising flour
½ Teaspoon Mixed Spice

Method

Put AllBran, Sugar and fruit into a bowl and mix.
Stir in milk and leave to soak for at least a half hour
Sieve in the flour and mixed spice, mix well
Pour into a greased 2lb loaf tin and bake at 180 ̊C for about an hour
Turn out whilst still warm and serve with butter
