Apple Flapjacks
Here's a recipe for the best flapjacks I've ever tasted, the quantities on the left were used to feed thousand of university students and several batches had to be made on a daily basis, the dried apricot version were my favourite as the apricots became all sweet sticky and chewy
Ingredients
5lb CateringTin

1 tin Apples (pureed)

2lb

8oz Sultanas
|
7lb
|
1 ¾ lb Light brown sugar
|

2lb Margarine
|
3lb
|
¾ lb Wholemeal flour
|
3oz
|
¾ oz Baking Powder
|
8lb
|
2 lb Porridge oats
|
Method
In a large pan melt the Margarine and Sugar until it starts to go syrupy
Add all dry ingredients and mix thoroughly
Layer with the apple puree or alternatively use finely chopped dried apricots
Cook at 300 ̊ F 150 ̊C until golden
