Short Crust Pastry

Ingredients

1lb Flour
4oz Lard
4oz Margarine
¼ oz Salt
2 ½ oz Water

Method

Sieve flour and salt
Rub in the fats until they resemble a bread crumb consistency
Add water and mix with a knife until the dough comes together, do not knead, or over handle the dough as this will make it tough
Squeeze together to form a ball and wrap in cling film, refrigerate for at least a half hour before using to allow the dough to rest

Use as required
